Great local watering hole with daily specials, love the burger, any of the salads and the "Rachael." Watch out, the spicy buffalo wings are Really Spicy. Bloody mary yummy too.

Had dinner with my son and daughter. (10 and 7). The kids menu had all the basic necessities. My daughter wanted carrot sticks over fries and the kitchen was accommodating. As a paleo eater, I had a salad with grilled chicken (and goat cheese...yum). Nothing fancy but tasted great.

Their menu says: "Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, may increase your risk of foodborne illness" What can I say? Stay away from the fish!!!!

Local bar, good for wings and a beer ... Wouldn't go here expecting to have a knock out meal. Located in a nice old house. People are friendly.

Turkey avacado club was badazz, quick friendly service. Closest bar to AT and LT in Manchester, next to bus stop.

The service at this restaurant is good, the bartenders are friendly and the food is good average American. My only bad experience was a delay on my salad which ended with my friends having their sandwiches while I waited for my salad. The bartender/waitress offered an apology and explained the situation. If they ask for my personal opinion in one of their dishes, I would change the nachos. They are boring and the ingredients are off ( cheese, olives and 3 black beans on top of tortillas chips with sides of salsa and sourcream). They serve a delicious chili which they could use it to top the chips and top it with cheese and jalapeños ( same sides of salsa and sourcream).

We loved it the first 2 times, but the 3rd time......they had just lost kitchen help, and our poor server had to Bartend, Wait Tables, and Wash Dishes! So sure, the service was excruciatingly slow, and she was in a foul mood - poor gal. No excuse for the Chef/Owner not to have a backup plan. The Tacos were awful- so over-salted and barely edible. The Chili was also over salted, and the Cilantro Tequila Lime Shrimp that we loved the 1st time was not nearly as good, with no detection of Tequila. The margaritas taste watery. Best thing I can say is the beer and beer glasses are very cold! Sure $1.00 Tacos are a great deal- if you can enjoy them! $3.50 margaritas (both on Tuesdays) - if they tasted decent. Well, I hope they find the extra help they need ASAP. We won't be back for at least a while.

Firefly is a solid local area bar with good American food and great people. If you like hot wings, and I mean HOT wings, I highly recommend the habanero hot wings on Thursday wings night! Great cheesy fries too! Also, they make a solid burger and the PBR is always cold.

The service was very slow. A table that came in after us had their orders taken first. A place with a few ordinary appetizers, should not claim to be a "tapas" bar. There are not enough choices to consider this a tapas bar. A place with 7-8 generic beers (PBR, Stella, etc) on tap should not claim to be a taproom. Considering the clientele and the noise level focused on the tv's, this should be considered a sports bar before any other category. As it stands, this is a confused mediocre bar with bar food, at best.

On a weekend vacation up in Vermont I found Firefly while walking around the outlet shops. I had the Rachel Sandwich with Sweet potato fries and it was delicious! I have never had a better turkey and coleslaw sandwich. The establishment is one to stop by for a well rounded sit down cafe.

It can be hard to find a place in VT, so I was really happy to not only find EXACTLY what I was looking for but also find a place with great beers and decent food. My girlfriend really liked the Spanish Olives with capers and rosemary. Great place for what I wanted, which was beer and wings, but I'm not sure about the rest of the menu. I'll go back for sure.

You know you live in a small town when wing night at the local pub gets you excited. Comprising the third point of the "golden triangle" (work and coworker's apartment/crash pad being the other two), Firefly is a frequent haunt for Mancunians seeking to fraternize with locals and maybe a few passers-through with good taste. It's not uncommon in warmer months to see the massive backpacks of Appalachian Trail hikers piled by the front door. Firefly serves lunch and dinner and has a decent sized menu, including some tapas (I guess we're in a small town - the menu explains what tapas are). But here's all you really need to know: - Poutine. It's amazing. It must be that the closer you get to Montreal, the better the poutine gets, and here you're a few hours closer than those in Boston or NYC. - Wing Night. Learn it, love it . Thursday nights you can get as many as you can devour for 35 cents each. Conveniently, a dozen comes out to $4.20. Typically offered are BBQ, Buffalo in varying degrees of heat, and "Asian". I feel a little perverted ordering "a dozen Asians", but they sure do taste good. - Taco Tuesdays. $1 tacos and cheap margaritas. They may not be "taqueria from a spanish speaking neighborhood" good, but they're miles ahead of Taco Smell and cheaper than anything in the area. - Beer. Not an extensive tap list but they've got the locals covered (Switchback, Northshire, Magic Hat) as well as PBR for $2.50. They knock off 50 cents on Sundays during football. Golden Triangle guy loves to boast that this saves him about $20 a week.

I love this place! Wonderful food and excellent service - a great place to get a feel for the "real" Manchester VT!

We've been meaning to try this little place ever since it changed hands and started offering tapas, which we love. Given its proximity to my favorite yarn shop, we had no more excuses for avoiding it. We went late on a Saturday afternoon, when there were just a few people (who managed to make rather a lot of noise, though we don't blame the restaurant staff). Our server offered prompt, gracious attention. We liked the choices of salads, including sizes, and thoroughly enjoyed our house and warm goat cheese plates of greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and carrots. The tequila lime shrimp and steak and mushroom tapas proved tasty, as well as the perfect size for two people to share. The prices seemed in line with most Manchester eateries. We now have a new restaurant to add to our list of food attractions in Manchester.

this place is absolutely poor! it is NOT a place that you should go to unless you like paying 15$ for a salad made of 4 (literally) lettuce salks and a hunk of chicken...it is a place to go for an appetizer and a drink..i feel frustrated that we fell for the "non partial" reviews and wasted 40$ on 2 salads that we could have gotten from macdonalds from 12$..took the time to write this to keep others from suffering the same fate!!! what a royal ripoff!

Definitely get the chicken salad, bacon, cheddar and tomato sandwich. Forget the cole slaw, it's bland, it needs a kick to it. Instead, get the fries or chips. Great specials during the week.

A friendly, busy restaurant and bar clearly much used by locals and for good reason. The staff were friendly on two separate visits and the food, while not pretentious, had that little extra flair that made it enjoyable and memorable. Certainly a place I'd return to.

Given that there are only a handful of previous current reviews, I think this is a local conspiracy to ensure that you, you out of town city slicker loading up your import car with "discounted" designer outlet clothing, don't actually realize this place is here. This is a local place, with all the fun that implies. Start with the three guys at the bar arguing over Trump's chances. Hard to say which was louder- their discussion or their Hawaiian shirts. If I lived here, I'd probably be hanging out with these guys before too long. The bartender was also our waiter. The service was relaxed, competent and friendly. The poutine...well, Rule #1 is thou shalt not use anything but actual cheese curd if thou plan on calling thy dish poutine. But, you know, absolution can be obtained for a price. The excellent gray offset the mozzarella, and the fries themselves were good. The burger was absolutely outstanding - big, juicy, full of flavor .The Moroccan Chicken special was pronounced good, and the fish and chips had a satisfyingly crunchy crust. Swtichback and the Shed on tap...plus whatever the Hawaiian fraternity was having. Nice selection of art on the walls, brightly painted and welcoming inside. Check it out!

Why I didn't heed the reviews here is a mystery. I should have known better. First I had the French onion soup. It was the worst I've ever had. Totally tasteless. My husband had the chili, which was bland, as well. We regretted putting our entire order in all at once. Had we waited, we could have made our escape after the soup and chili. My husband had the pasta carbonara, which was edible. I had the fish and chips. As soon as I cut the fish a very strong odor emitted from it. The coleslaw was tasteless. The fries were edible. Service was eh. Luckily we had a restaurant.com certificate, which helped cut their very high prices for pretty meager portions. Our waitress told us they usually attach an 18% gratuity to those certificates. She was lucky to get ten percent. Nowhere on the certificate did it state anything about a mandatory 18% gratuity. Nor was it posted anywhere in the restaurant/bar. I should have paid better attention to the reviews. I learned.

Mediocre food at best. Rude service that turned out to be the owner himself.. Lots of better options in Manchester

My cousin and I were very hungry after our 4 hour hike on Mount Equinox and were drenched from the rain. I have zero complaints about our server; she noticed my cousin shivering and offered to turn down the air (which she did and was very nice). I had the French onion soup and an order of buffalo wings. The soup was hot and certainly comforting but not amazing. The wings were standard and very "drippy". The blackened Caesar salad my cousin ordered didn't look impressive at all (and I love Caesar varieties). The food is less than average and way overpriced for what it is. $15 will get you a meal but not a really delicious one that you could get at any eatery in Troy NY.
